Disclaimer: This post represents only one side of veganism. Veganism is a way of living that is based on compassion towards nonhuman animals. However, I’m feeling a little angsty. I’m tapping into my inner 80s hair band as my anthem to this post. Please listen while reading! Scoll to second 0:53 and press play!
What I love about veganism is that it’s truly a form of rebellion. Veganism is about being fed up, and we’re not going to take it. It’s about standing up for what we believe in. It’s about pushing back. It’s the big FU to all of the industries that care nothing for the animals that they exploit, nor for the people that they also exploit. I’m not just talking about corporate businesses, but I’m also referring to our government, our USDA, who’s in bed with these industries. If you don’t believe me, read the book, “Food Politics”, by Marion Nestle. You’ll understand first hand what I’m referring to.
I encourage you to get fed up. I want you to see what’s going on. I believe that we feel the same way. Don’t be afraid to look around, and definitely don’t be afraid to be different. It’s liberating! So, if you aren’t a rebel yet, join the REVOLUTION! Let’s tear everything down and make some noise while doing it!
🙂
Oh yea! Get em girrrl! we’re not gonna take it anymoorrrre
